About Us
LiFE Academy has been providing holistic, innovative courses in human health and wellbeing for over twenty years. Students of LiFE Academy have an advantage both personally and professionally due to the deep insights and practical strategies gained throughout their training.
The founders of the LiFE Academy respect and honour the First Peoples of Country and have worked as volunteers in the Aboriginal community for over 36 years, the first 25 years with Aboriginal Elder, Ken Colbung OA MBE, supporting cultural programs and training for the younger generations. With him, they were asked to speak before the Senate Select Committee on Regional and Remote Indigenous Communities about the scaffolding between the vocational and higher education sectors and their project to provide culturally-based training and health care.
In recent years the LiFE Academy has worked with service providers to deliver components of programs for the Aboriginal community including Stolen Generations organisation Sister Kate’s Home Kids Aboriginal Corporation. Programs have included private and community counselling, therapy for pain and stress, food as medicine and healthy lifestyle workshops.
