The WA government has announced that training for the CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health is FREE in 2025 for both concession and non-concession trainees through Jobs and Skills WA.

To be eligible for this Government subsidy you must reside in Western Australia and be an Australian Citizen or hold an eligible visa.

This nationally accredited qualification is AUSTUDY approved with full time training over seven months.

Weekly classes are delivered live online.

Classes are scheduled four times a week on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays & Thursdays (inclusive).

Whilst most classes are live online, there are approximately four oncampus ‘face to face’ sessions, comprising field trips and practical assessments scheduled over the 7 months. These oncampus training sessions are scheduled on either Saturday and/or Sunday at LiFE Academy’s Central Campus (Wangara WA) or Bush Campus (Wanneroo WA) – dates to be advised.

Whilst it is important for students to attend 80% or more of their classes ‘face to face’ (live online or oncampus) at the times scheduled, the classes can be accessed on your phone so you can listen in at the park, in the comfort of home or wherever you like! The online classes are also recorded making it easy for you to catch up on any classes missed.

In addition to the training sessions timetabled, there are 80 hours of ‘face to face’ Workplacement for the Certificate IV qualification.  Your availability for suitable work placement hours can affect your completion date. If you are already working in this field there is a pathway for you to have this recognised.
